The IAPSS Annual Academic Conference (AAC) is a relatively new IAPSS permanent project or better an annual event seeking to facilitate concrete interactions on the academic level between students from all over the world who are developing academic work in the field of political science.

The AAC is meant to bring together students from several countries with interest in conducting research on a specified topic. To be selected as participants, students have to submit their academic papers before the event and present them at the conference. The panels and discussions are moderated by the experts in the field, giving the students a chance to get a feedback on their research and possibility to publish their work in publications issued by IAPSS.

The AAC therefore aims to create an open and welcoming space for students to present their academic research and opinions, as well as to share innovation and discoveries that exist in the field of political science worldwide. Academic exchange, intercultural experience and good professional spirit are therefore key concepts on which we try to establish these special IAPSS events.

The first IAPSS Annual Academic Conference was organized in 2008, in Rome, Italy titled: "The Giant's Rise: the Chinese Way to Development and its Contradictions"

The next version of the project, AAC 2009, was held in Belgrade, Serbia and was titled: “Stand Up for Peace”

The latest conference was AAC 2011, held in Thessaloniki, Greece and titled “European Identity”.
